Atelier3 is the first line of furniture developed in collaboration with Reggio Children as an outcome of the Children, Spaces, Relations research project (1998) and made in Italy since 2002. The Municipal Infant Toddler Centres and Preschools at Reggio Emilia are internationally regarded as one of the most advanced early childhood programmes in the world, and the pedagogical research and experience of Reggio Children informs the design project.
Reggio Children worked in collaboration with designers Michele Zini and Claudia Zoboli to develop a contemporary range of furniture for flexible and creative learning environments, with the intention to create stimulating spaces with endless possibilities. The desaturated colours typical of the line are intended to create a soft chromatic landscape as a context for children and their work. The line is filled with things that are open to many interpretations and uses, made of durable and sustainable materials.
